The Australian Nappy Network Ltd is looking for somebody to step up to the plate as the National Coordinator of Reusable Nappy Week (RNW) in 2009. RNW will take place from 13-18 October this year and we are keen for this voluntary position to be filled quickly.

– Learning from the lessons of previous events.

– Can involve acting as spokesperson and undertaking media liaison.

– Coordination of online and offline promotion of events

The volunteer who takes on this role will gain significant experience in advocacy and promotional events. No specific advocacy experience necessary, however we require somebody with good organisational skills, who is reliable and motivated and has good regular access to the internet.

The position will report directly to the board of the Australian Nappy Network Ltd.

Depending on the interests of the volunteer this role will be likely to involve around 5 hours a week of volunteer work, possibly more in the weeks prior to and during RNW. Some of this will depend upon the ability of the coordinator to recruit and delegate workload.

Also available are positions for Victorian, South Australian and ACT Reusable Nappy Week Coordinators, and for a Media Liaison volunteer. Please contact fiona at webwords dot net dot au to discuss your interest in any of these positions.
